OK, so we have been frantically trying to prepare for the longest cruise that I have ever attempted. We are sailing a 2002 340 Sundancer from Charleston, SC down to Florida and then finally over to the Bahama Islands. I have made several trips to each boat store in the area. We have also been frantically trying to gather all the necessary provisions, based on advice from others as we have never made this journey before. The original departure date was December 22, but it rained all day on the 21st and delayed several of my outside projects. The largeest one of installing a davit system to haul our new inflatable on the swim platform. My neighbor Andy was a huge help getting the inflatable ready for the trip. He installed the necessary hardeware to mount the gas tank as well as the running lights. I was saving this for later, but he did a better job than I would have done, and it was in the comfort of his own garage. Thanks again Andy.
